Indeed. I do believe that the key to better health is actionable information and a gameplan for how to maintain health. But with the Shitgibbon in office, and his merry band of miscreants running the show, I can't determine if my smartwatch will give me good readings or not, and ensure that only I get to access that data, unless I explicitly choose to let someone else access it.

What's funny is that even the craziest end times type of xtians that believe that shit will still carry a phone with them everywhere. I used to have fun with a few of them that I know of pointing out that, hey, they pretty much need it for everything now, what do you think that means, hmmm?

It's a sliding scale for these people. Used to be these types would point at Social Security numbers and claim that was the "mark of the beast". Then it was credit cards. Then it was UPCs. Then RFIDs. And now they carry phones with NFC on virtually every single one of them, along with a GPS tracker, LOL.
And now we have systems that can track people by recognizing their gait and their face, as well as other biometrics. There are things reading license plates. So does it even matter what you might carry on you, or not, at least if you live/work in certain cities?

I know about the PineTime, how ready for less techy consumers is that right now?

I’m sure he means evil, but wearables really can be a boon to health. His agency really needs to be more proactive with establishing privacy protections and certifying accuracy’s/correctness, to make this really take off.

I 100% agree. If a government with good intentions helps to get more of this in the hands of people and ensures that their data STAYS their data, it could be a good thing.
I don't trust any of the monsters in this administration, though.
