He gave a speech and or comment the other day where he said in regards to all of the bullshit power grabs are going on, paraphrasing here, that they better be careful because the shoe is going to be on the other foot one day. That the Republicans won't be the majority forever and someday the Democrats will be and then they can take advantage of all these changes and rules. I heard that and I just fuck. Why would an international student want come to the US when they could be deported or imprisoned any day? Or if they leave the country for a trip might not be allowed back in to finish their degree?

Because thousands of them started their studies years ago, and want to finish the degree they paid a lot of money for. This also affects current students

If I was a foreign student, I would not be looking at U.S. schools.
Which is the exact intention here... The chilling effect. Whether or not it holds up in court isn't as important as making our country an undesirable place (in this case, for the most intelligent students in the world) to come to.
Really smart, long term thinking there.
Canada has good universities, and you won't end up in a concentration camp.
