Americans are increasingly critical of Elon Musk’s role in the Trump administration, with a Washington Post-ABC News-Ipsos poll finding negative reactions to some cuts made by his U.S. DOGE Service and skeptical that the government is cutting waste and fraud.

The poll finds 35% of Americans approve of the way Musk is handling his job in the Trump administration, while 57% disapprove. Negative ratings of Musk are up from 49% in February, while his approval has shifted little from 34% two months ago. He remains less popular than Donald Trump, who has a 39% approval rating and a 55% disapproval rating.

Why tf do we have obscenely euphemistic headlines like this? Everyone knows this is about destroying our system of governance so musk and his shitbois can pillage, exploit, and enslave. There is nothing remotely legitimate about what has happened to America.

I’m increasingly critical of my parents beating the shit out of me as a child and then saying that it hurt them more than it hurt me. I found that I had negative reactions to when my body slammed against the wall and was skeptical that I would survive when I then fell four feet onto my stomach, smashing my favorite toy car and briefly passing out.

We are living in a fucking abusive nightmare and, while I get that it's important to track sentiment if we want to change hearts and minds, but why the media still talking about this shit like it's perfectly normal??

Fucking seriously??? "Handling his job"??? What job role is he filling?! What's his official capacity??!! He's not doing "his job," he's partaking in a dictatorial coup. Last I checked, "Data Destroying Deporter" wasn't a governmental job title, so quit talking about it like it is!
Ask the right questions! I want to see a poll with what percentage of Americans are aware that Elon's cronies got access to the nuclear codes, threatened other employees, are destroying every means of funding for our nation's elderly and most vulnerable, and are building centralized databases to create a Big Brother government with zero accountability. After that, tell me how many people approve.
Maybe if he told us what the plan is we could see it. This plan LOOKS like "destroy EVERYTHING".

Every normal person in the country has been freaking the f out this whole time. It's still breaks my heart what has become of this paper.
Oh we all passed skeptical a long time ago. Dude is just making up numbers, scrapping databases and misunderstanding legacy code. All while throwing up the Nazi arm. Musk is nothing more than a fascist fraud.
He isnt even trying to stop waste and fraud, but even if he were: "The optimal amount of fraud is non-zero"
I enjoyed this little reminder of how the real world isnt binary.
Americans aren’t feeling the hurt yet. Once they start to feel what these jobs did, then people are going to get angry.
