Half of TES lore is about racism, oblivion even got a racism table for all the playable races.
- I love playing khajiit. The slurs NPCs throw at me make me feel a little more alive.
  
  After Tamriel Rebuilt and OpenMW have their next releases, I am absolutely playing as a khajiit through Morrowind's main quest.

  a couple of literal bums in windhelm isnt enough proof of racism in stormcloaks, and hell, go read the journal of the dark elf those bum ass nords bully when you walk into windhelm, youll find that dark elf is manager of the docks and will take away the argonians rations if they make a mistake while working
  not to mention the gray quarter is only the gray quarter slums it is because the dark elves that live there asked ulfric not to help them or have guards patrol that area because they want to govern themselves, and ulfric let them. in his own damn city
Morrowind is a nuanced exploration of colonialism, thematically similar to Things Fall Apart. You want to read Morrowind with a copy of The Wretched of the Earth and Orientalism next to you for the full experience.
- I'm currently playing OpenMW as Argonian and I'm glad a volcanic eruption took that shithole island out. Bunch of jerks!
  
  That and dragon age as an elf were wonderful, because you play through as the 'superior' race (dark elf / human for morrowind/dragon age) first and don't even realize how fucked up it can be. Each time I just happened to play that order and it was amazing.

I mean it is kind of questionable to have the only melaninated characters all belong to the same fantasy "race" that all share the same characteristics like being physically gifted at sports...

  Not a nerf, but int is their lowest stat. In Morrowind they start at 30 in Int and Wil, but that's actually roughly the average intelligence of the people of Vvardenfell (given most of them are country bumpkins after all, most people in TES would be fucking stupid). This is actually kinda weird given the lore of Yokudan sword-singers (magic, which would need those stats, but I get the feel it's a balancing thing)
  What might be worse is the dark skinned race technically isn't even from Tamriel or Nirn, they're the descendents of the Yokudans, who walked sideways from the last timeline into this one. They're literally not of this world or timeline
- Only melaninated human characters. Bosmer, Dunmer, Khajit, and certainly Argonians definitely have pigmented skin tones.
There's a god of gender fluid?
- All the Daedric Princes appear as male and female at different times, apparently.
  
  Except for Hermaeus Mora, who could do that but doesn't give a fuck and appears as random seafood garbage.
  
  They usually have a favored appearance, though. Azura, for example, almost never manifests a masculine avatar. Boethiah shifts back and forth so much that their followers in Skyrim are depicted as switching pronouns mid sentence when referring to them.
