Prepare to watch the entire country's agricultural output drop 20% over the next 4 years because we can't predict what the weather is going to do for planting and harvesting anymore.

  I’m sure flying will get safer with less accurate weather reports. The new SpaceX ATC guys should have an easy time taking over, once they relax the regulations for minimum amount of required training time.

- Lmao I can't remember what I was doing at the time that year to miss that idiot try to reroute the path of a hurricane with a fucking line of ink across a map.
  I thought most people were stupid, I did not expect the American electoral college to be just as stupid.
  
  Imagine how smart you think the average American is. Realize you are probably biasing too high based on your peers, and adjust that down a little. Now realize that >40% of the population is dumber than that.
Personally, of all the government services this is my biggest fear. The knock on effects of this will be huge.

Purely selfish note to add: I enjoy flying paragliders for fun. The thought of good forecast data fading away is super sad for my hobby (and super dangerous for aircraft travel in general). Might have to start using the European weather models more often, even though they haven’t been quite as accurate for the places in the US I like to fly.
- I sail so I feel your pain :( they NOAA weather models have been irreplaceable for me. Especially for Great Lakes weather data. The weather warnings a wave data help keep people safe.
- I rely on NOAA forecasts for sailing. Super sad to see less reliable forecasts. They were so good!
