He got confused between universes. In another universe Dr. Strange won't be in the next avengers but in this one he will be... Maybe...

Both statements can be true. Doctor Stephen Strange will be in the movie, Doctor Hugo Strange will not be in the movie.
Wasn't strange a pretty significant character in Secret Wars? I'd be surprised if they didn't set something up in Doomsday
