Just about every single Asian country that has ocean territory has complained about China entering its waters without permission.
They just violated Japan's airspace a couple days ago. Japan entering their waters is probably their little tit-for-tat "payback".
Wait, when was the last time a Chinese naval frigate circled Okanawa?
