  • How many restaurants do they need to qualify as a chain?

There is this local burger place that makes fast food burgers but of slightly better quality than the usual suspects.

Otherwise they tend to be the same to me.

  • I don't want kids so that narrows down the dating pool to something more like a dating puddle.

I generally keep to myself. Every social skill I have comes from deliberate practice.

I did manage to find a girl. What I did:

Figure out what my strengths are and in what situations I get to show them. I get compliments on having a pleasant voice. So anywhere I'll talk some is good.

    Work on mitigating your weaknesses.

Work on being a {pick one or more: fun/pleasant/useful/positive/etc} person to be around.

What I did not tell you is how long I had to do this.

  • Work, gmail with a regrettable name i picked in my teens and can't be bothered to migrate away from. Other gmail that I only have on my phone. Work mail, personal mai with firstname@uniquesurname

  • Avoid them when you can. Clear, minimal, a bit more polite than you would like to be when you can't. If it's work related focus on your common goal.

I'd also advise you to take some time to reflect on what makes them dislike you. If you find a lot of people who dislike you for similar reasons you may have to evaluate if you should (and can) change.

  • Attitude: I generally don't care unless they try to tell me what to do based on their religion. This is generally never a problem, I've had more vegans and environmentalists bother me.

Getting along: we have some high faith denomination of Christianity here. I've worked with a few and generally don't notice unless they drop something heavy on their foot and don't swear.

Thought of believing: not since I was 12 or something.

Do not like faiths: I acknowledge they can create a sense of community and belonging. I have a dim view of the dogma that tends to come with them.

  • Increased support for Ukraine.

It's at the moment more important than solving any domestic issues.

(I most likely don't live in your country, only argue for your favored domestic issues if you really have nothing better to do).

  • Vim, I've not given emacs a fair try yet. At work I've got to use what I've got to use and neither is an option. At home the last thing I want to do is write more code.

When I do have a choice I'm not doing much more complicated things than editing a config file and anything more advanced than cat would do I guess.
