Ah, you're going for the technically correct. So, how does it work out for you, smoking fresh cannabis flowers? Also, fermenting sugars is not a chemical process, but a biological process (just being nitpicky).
To make marijuana, you need to dry the flowers of unpollinated female cannabis plants. It takes some effort and time to grow them like this. To make alcohol, you squash a bunch of overripe fruit, put it in a semi closed container and forget about it for a week or two. There are even video's of animals in the wild eating overripe fruit and getting wasted from it. So yeah, it is easier to make.

I don't know if it's their achievement. It seems to me that in the USA you can choose for the conservatives who want to keep everything as it always was, including Russia as the bad guys and Israel as the ever lasting allie. Or you can chose for the conservatives who want to install a state religion and re-install segregation. The first group wants to be a global power with reach all over the world, the last group doesn't care for the rest of the world. With both groups the rich get richer.

It will be technically a bit more challenging, but I don't think you need to use the lantern power monitor software with the device. The device seems to be built around two MCP3008 IC's, which are basic 8 channel analog to digital converters. The values from these can be read and processed (like, sent to home assistant) using a python script on the raspberry. This is the kind of minimal programming effort someone with no experience could do using chatgpt.
Doesn't it give certain benefits? In the Netherlands there is some tax benefit, custody for the children is easier to arange (both in divorce and if a mother dies before the children are 18) and a bunch of other stuff.
