My current home, the landlord doesnβt have a cable and Iβm separate from the house. Iβve been using a wifi router to pick up the signal and then I just connect my devices to that router. It works as an access point basically.
Iβm using the GL.inet Flint and itβs been solid for several years. It runs openWRT. Just make sure the router has the ability to repeat. A lot of wifi routers are one way only.
Iβve been using the same iPhone Xs Max since Nov 2018 and itβs still smooth as butter. Not seeing a reason to upgrade other than when software stops being supported/updated.
Didnβt realize companies might drop support for phones older than 5 years.
Itβs not difficult to install the drivers. I recently had to swap out my 3090 for an AMD card because Wayland just crashes and works poorly with Nvidia.
Iβm sorry but as long as Apple Maps rely on and force you to install the Yelp app for reviews, Iβm never using it.
