  • It is explained in their github.

"Glide typing (only with closed source library ☹️) library not included in the app, as there is no compatible open source library available can be extracted from GApps packages ("swypelibs"), or downloaded here (click on the file and then "raw" or the tiny download button)" https://github.com/Helium314/HeliBoard#%3A%7E%3Atext=Glide+typing+%28%2Ctiny+download+button%29

In the app, you go Advanced > Load gesture typing library > Select your downloaded library.

  • Recently I too have made a huge change in move towards degoogling and replaced Gboard with Heliboard. I never thought I'd be able to replace Gboard because I use gesture typing a lot. Heliboard doesn't come inbuilt with gesture typing but you have to import from closed source(?) data which is just a one time import (would like to know more on this one from someone more knowledgeable). So far, it has been great!

  • Xiaomi has the biggest custom ROM scene out there btw despite them trying their hardest to stop bootloader unlocking. You really don't need to have a company supporting unlocking to make ROMs for them. If they outright block it then that's an issue.

  • I'm seeing way more ads at the top(at the top 5 of the search) related to the keyword I'm typing. For eg, if I am searching for a movie pirate website I would get ad results at the top which are paid like Netflix, Amazon Prime etc and no results related to the pirate site I'm searching. This is not how it used to be. I used to find those sites at the top 3 resuls. It was convenient.

Yes duck assist is great and I like Duck ai as well.

  • But OP did really meant that people who can't use PCs are braindead idoits, which is very harsh. People who are using PCs at their workplace for the first time or have learnt using Windows for the sake of getting a job do be very cautious like that. They only used them in constricted way and never got to play around with it. You can never learn how a device works without playing around with it imo. Just because you had more experience with PCs doesn't mean you have right to call who are inexperienced brain-dead idoits.
