Dead babies are abhorrent no matter the side or reason and should be investigated as war crimes.
But I'm honestly not surprised that a democratic society disapproves of the use of violence to achieve political goals against Israel. Fundamentally hard to get people to care when Israeli babies were burned in their cribs.
Ever wonder why there are no Jews in Egypt? Or Iraq? Or Jordan? Or Syria? Or Yemen? Or Saudi Arabia?
There are no Jews in these countries because they were ethnically cleaned by the local Arab populations in the 1940s. They escaped to the only place that had a sizeable Jewish population, mandatory Palestine. And instead of accepting refugees with open arms, neighbor turned on neighbor and the local Arab population attempted to exterminate every Jewish man, woman, and child. Thankfully they did not succeed and their descendants now live in Gaza and the West Bank.
I recommend that you educate yourself on the history of the area before you speak with authority on the subject.
Completely agree. Very unfortunate that so many Israelis were forcibly displaced during the disengagement from Gaza in 2005. Thank you for considering their plight.
Cool, you say that Israel is colonizers and Palestine is defending themselves.
I'll say that Gazans are terrorists and Israel is ensuring it's security. Israelis defending themselves after an invasion of their country is unambiguously self-defense. Their tactics aren't preferable, but I'm in no position to tell someone who is under attack how to defend themselves.
Unfortunately none of this solves problems for actual civilians in the conflict.
I didn't read their comment because it is made up mumbo jumbo. I read the article which states: “Yet, as the ICJ [the international court of justice] has found, it is plausible that Israel’s conduct amounts to genocide,”
Which is just an acknowledgement that there is a proceeding in the ICJ.
