Isn't the DPRK poor today because their largest trading partner (the USSR) collapsed?

North and South Korea had very similar growth trajectories up until the USSR started running out of steam.

In these statements, it is clear that the NED has given significant support to Tsai Ing-wen and the DPP. Meanwhile, NED funding in East Asia is a fact. It's blatant intervention into foreign democracies through American state-backed actors.

That video correlates strongly with the statements made by the Foreign Ministry of the PRC.

Taking Taiwan would lose so many lives it's absolutely absurd. It's complete unviable, especially when the US has already clearly demonstrated an alternative solution (just "not blockade" them like Cuba).

The DPP received significant funding from the US National Endowment for Democracy during that time. Coincidence? Probably not...

Same meddling shit that happened in Ukraine with Euromaidan and in China with Tiananmen Square. Even the US PsyOps teams themselves admit that they were responsible for those events.

I'd love to say that the Taiwanese people themselves came to the conclusion, but time and time again the US has showed that the people's choice isn't something they really respect abroad.

The security forces tightened security at synagogues in Dagestan while the Telegram site blocked Utro Dagestan, a channel allegedly administered from Ukraine, which was accused of inciting violence against Jews. Muslim religious leaders in the North Caucasus have condemned the anti-Semitic riots.

The Morning Dagestan (Utro Dagestan) is an anti-Russian and Islamist channel which advocates for an end to what it calls "Moscow's occupation regime" in the Caucasus.

The Morning Dagestan channel has been associated with Ilya Ponomarev, a former Russian MP who defected to Ukraine in 2016 and was granted Ukrainian citizenship.

While Ponomarev said that he had stopped supporting the channel in September 2022, his own statements contradict this claim. He called Utro Dagestan "our channel" in August 2023, and also referred to the channel as part of his operations in September.

Given the very close relations between Cambodia and China, I'm leaning towards this being an acknowledged information-sharing scheme.
