I wish this was more of a Single Sign-On approach instead of making it easier to just create a Pixelfed-account from a Mastodon account. It's dope that it's even attempting to find Mastodon accounts I follow who are also on Pixelfed in order to just easily follow them.
Of course they do. Just because I'm critical of the West I'm not automatically in favor of other autocratic regimes. But it's been a long time since I've seen that many African leaders standing up to their Western oppressors and that wouldn't happen if the Chinese/Russians and their deals would be as terrible for Africans as the Western ones. They're openly challenging the West right now and it's about time that happened.
I trust that China/Russia are more trustworthy in terms of letting other countries decide their own fate without engaging in regime change/color revolution style interference just based on historical precedence so far.
There's been lots of mainstream reporting on the corruption allegations and the Senate/Congress hearing where the FBI chief kept on repeating the same evasive non-answers I mentioned were livestreamed. Can provide some sources once I'm back at home, though, if requested.
I'm usually not in a debating mood when people just start calling me a liar though. I'm not even in favor of republicans/centrists and I consider myself an anarchist more than anything else so I'm not really into partisanship here. 🤷♂️

Espresso: Turn on my Rancilio Silvia, wait 20m until its boiler is heated up, add 18g of finely ground Espresso beans into the portafilter, then look at how it it pours into my cup. Add 2/3 of a cup filled with hot water for a double shot Americano.
French Press: Take 45-50g of coarsely ground coffee, fill 1/4 with 95°C water, let it bloom for 45-60s, then stir, fill up to max, add the plunger and push it down.

Russia itself isn't a threat but so far it's brought together China, Iran and parts of Africa that are done with US colonization and living under the US' boot.
Because they think it's a stupid proxy war that doesn't serve the US (because it strengthens BRICS which hurts the Petro Dollar) and that US support for Ukraine is a ploy to ensure that supposed US funded biolabs (that are pretty much confirmed to exist, afaik) aren't uncovered, because Joe and Hunter Biden are likely to be involved in them via the company Metabiota.
I'm as irritated as everyone else because it's usually not the Republicans to be the sane ones but it seems the Democrats are even more corrupt nowadays. The FBI is actively trying to suppress evidence of bribery of a sitting President and it's even denying answering Congress (or Senate? Not 100% sure which one, I'm not an American) inquiries.

Yeah, basically the two big churches don't have to lift a finger to get all of their members to pay up because the state is doing it for them. Opt-out costs a one time fee even, at least in Germany.
Or maybe rip the churches out of our tax systems (yeah, that's a thing in Europe) and derive them of the only thing they actually care about. Anyone who does 30 minutes of research into the history of the Catholic Church can't seriously believe that this system isn't working just as intended.
Did it really make him look weak, though? He's consolidated the military under the MoD umbrella, his comradery with Lukashenko likely improved, the West is admitting that Ukraine is running out of ammo (thus the cluster ammunition) and he (or rather Lukashenko) has a strong private army close to the Ukrainian border, about 90km from Kiev.
The only people claiming his weakness were some Western officials and the press and both haven't been particularly trustworthy nor well informed in their assessments of the situation thus far.
Edit: Not to forget that Prigozhin made it clear that his problems weren't with Putin but with MoD leadership/Shoigu.
chromeOS meets early KDE4. Weird. I don't like Windows 11 either so but I managed to get rid of most of the crap. Should've gone for Windows 10 on my gaming machine but since I use Ubuntu 99% of the time, it's not worth the effort. At least I figured out how to install and use Windows 11 without a Microsoft account. I'd rather depend on Steam on Linux than use a computer with a Microsoft account hooked in.
I'm seriously wondering if we've hit rock button in terms of UI flatness.
I should add that I'd also take care of the more self-centered stuff like taking making sure my me and my girlfriend/*, parents and brother won't have to work a day in ours lives (unless we fuck it up but I'd try to find someone capable and trustworthy who would take care of it).

I don't think that's a terrible way of getting started. Your subconscious will do the rest at some point, unless you're really not interested at all (which isn't a problem either). :)
