Randy bought it, it's his property now. I understand hopoo needed money, but they should have made some provisions for extreme idiots attempting enshittification or inept fixes. Their legacy is getting bumfucked a bit, RoR2 is a travesty now.
I am really enjoying this downfall of Bethesda, Blizzard, Ubisoft and EA, more than I enjoyed anything they published in half a decade. I wish death also to Gearbox. It's coming and after Randy bought and promptly ruined RoR2, my schadenfreude is tingling.

Disney's milking made the licence really unappealing and Ubisoft's open worlds were unappealing even back when they had some quality control and graphics had to look good. Now it's just smear this unplausible cutesy mammal sidekick with some temporal antialiasing and also no one on our team knows how to make enemies exhibit any behavior. Fucking die, Ubisoft. I told you in 2012. when you made uplay it would end like this.

PPA means that my browser is doing the spying instead of a third party directly. That's certainly a privacy improvement, but I don't consider it sufficient.
"Sufficiently private" is a subjective call. I don't want to be spied on. Whether or not there are technological "privacy preserving" features baked into it doesn't alter that fundamental fact.
All that said, this isn't a bad enough move to get me to stop using Firefox, as long as I can keep it disabled. It does mean that I have to view Firefox with suspicion, though. I can't consider the browser to be my "user agent" anymore.
