China rule...?

  • Good point on the propaganda. I'm old enough to remember post 9-11... when people criticized the government response they were often told "love it or leave it".

  • My fundamentalist dad told me it was because the first passover (when God killed the first born son of every Egyptian household that didn't have lamb's blood) landed on Friday the 13th. Take that with a grain of salt.

  • Bro, have you considered the perspective of everyone when doing anything?

You're moving the goal post from "What does a Chinese person think of someone saying fuck China" to "What is the opinions of everyone when someone says fuck China".

And people do see "Fuck Israel" and accuse those saying it of being anti-Semitic. You can tell those people they are wrong for being upset, but you will find them as obstinate as you are in keeping their opinion.

Also, there's a big difference between saying something like "fuck China" in a group chat vs posting it on a global forum - that sort of context matters.

  • Why though? There is literally no reason to be upset

Says the person who refuses to consider the perspective of others, like the Chinese.

  • Yes I am little upset, but I don't deny it and I don't deny it happens to others. Every accusation is a confession it seems.

  • You seem fairly upset yourself, certainly wrote a lot on this.

Edit: it seems the question "What do the Chinese think?" is not relevant to you - I don't really care about your reasons to dismiss the question, but I do care that others know that is where you are coming from.

  • TIL the Chinese people never hear "fuck China" and are unable to think about it.

  • How do you think the Chinese people would perceive "fuck China" with no other qualifiers?

  • More observation than ad hominem, unless of course you identify with what is observed.

  • Yes the Environmental Protection Agency. The Heritage foundation is taking applications and they vet by looking at whether their social media accounts supports Trump: https://www.project2025.org/

Last time Trump did their best to push responsible people out of government jobs, but that was just a test run. This time around it would be a speed run.

    Edit: per Wikipedia https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_2025

The plan would perform a swift takeover of the entire executive branch under a maximalist version of the unitary executive theory

  • Sure they are different classes of crime... And all would occur fewer times if we had better gun laws.

  • Amazes me how many Americans justify systemic bullshit by writing people off as "thugs".

  • Well the car deaths being on the rise is also a policy failure. We're letting car makers make cars that are better at killing pedestrians. Kind of sounds familiar....

And sure the odds are small I would get involved in a mass shooting, my kids who go to school however literally have school shooting drills.

  • And if a coup happens in South America, there's a good chance the CIA is behind it.

  • That's what tanking the EPA is for. Without any oversight of externalities, dirty energy becomes cheaper.

  • From my point of view, the world is neither getting worse nor better.

Is the climate changing the human world for the worse, or isn't it? Maybe you don't deny that climate change is happening, but this comment seems to deny its impact.

  • Not if you loosely define "organized human society". Imagine a bright future where you just live in your pod and be a happy meatbag that powers the Matrix. Hell, even corporations are "organized human society".

Those ghouls are saying we should dim the sun instead of disinvestment in oil.
