  • Colonial America enters the chat

let me bootstrap our national bank by using slaves a collateral.

  • Cruelty is the point, it's practically a virtue. And that cruelty also drives down wages so it's a message that gets plenty of air time.

  • Plenty of dolts goto school board meetings that are qanon adjacent.

  • slightly less bad

What is even the point of making that point though? Do we give him a cookie for being a "nice" exploiter?

  • The dude single handily fucked the American education system by mainstreaming voucher schools. His "gifts to education" was a poison pill and that really does sum up the entirety of billionaire philanthropy.

  • He has a creed: loyalty to himself. He talks about it all the time like he's some mafia.

  • Or maybe instead of building a yacht they would build more public housing. If the workers could decide between the two, then I would think there would be more homes and less mega yachts.

  • Citation needed to show that we can't curb inflation by taxing the wealthy but that the only way is to tax low wage workers more.

But let's say you do provide a citation that proves taxing the poor, as close to death as possible, is the only way to make capitalism continue working - then I'd say let's eat the rich because their promises of a better life are only meant for themselves.

  • I would say they don't feel part of the community because they are the enforcement behind alienation under capitalism. If everyone has housing, security, fair trials, etc then people wouldn't perceive them as part of an alienating force.

  • Is chatGPT any good at fixing Ubuntu problems?

  • Humanities and Art majors are often criticized for not producing such capital.

  • I think people confuse "liberal society" with "liberal capitalism" and think if you have 100% socialism then you don't even own a toothbrush or something

  • ANNs are not the same as synapses, analogous yes, but different mathematically even when simulated.

  • Ehh, "learning" is doing a lot of lifting. These models "learn" in a way that is foreign to most artists. And that's ignoring the fact the humans are not capital. When we learn we aren't building a form a capital; when models learn they are only building a form of capital.

  • My point is that to people not familiar with the concepts of intersectionality might find this to be a bit of a flimsy position.

    Reminds me of a saying:

"You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink"

Others can handle the horses that won't drink water, but that shouldn't hinder me from preaching intersectionality.
