  • If you view people as purely advertising receptacles then this business move is logical. But if you view people as agents that can build their own alternatives or advertise your services then this would seem to be a dumb business move.

  • A lot of things get lumped into "profit motive". Help my neighbor clean their yard for a small fee? Profit motive. Invent a cure for polio and sell it for $1? Profit motive. Establish a monopoly on a life saving drug and drive up the retail price? Profit motive.

Funny how "Profit motive" doesn't make a distinction between solving a problem and making a problem for others.

  • Yeah, those Democrats really encourage himRepublicans to be the worse 🙄

  • Apple cider if we're to believe him

  • I'm optimistic we'll find a way to blame the poor. Just learn to code, and do rigorous statistics you ungrateful meatbag.

  • But maybe if we sacrifice enough ecosystems we could get it to work and then ask it to solve all the climate problems we created to power it...

  • Having a monopoly creates fewer indicators for the market and create problems

  • CRT is when we teach sheeple to be sheep?

I read it as more pro-critical history than anything.

  • It is the logic of plunder. Our businesses breed such individuals.

  • Or maybe let the Palestinians take care of their own security because it seems the only palestinians with guns do so illegally and fall in with Hamas. How do we expect a peace treaty work otherwise? Do we expect to make sociopaths like Hamas docile with peace?

  • He has kids, so I can only assume this is to prove he's a teenager at heart.

  • The government has a process called the courts where they decide on what was the "truth" of the matter. Hell, they'll even restrict your speech during a trial, jurors included. The trick here is you give power to the people to decide, arguably this is playing out in our school systems as well over books.

  • In what world is a disabled person able to board a car on their own but not a bus or train? And in what world are those busses and trains not staffed with people to help? Are we talking self-driving busses and cars with wheelchair driving options as a standard?

Edit: Seems the response is for the disabled person to: JuSt SpEnD mOrE mOnEy ; but we couldn't possibly be bothered to spend more on public transit to make it more accessible.

  • You can eat anything at least once

  • I was responding to the claim that the program would stop working, not that the program would need larger payouts to eliminate poverty.

  • The program runs at reduced payouts if it's not "fully funded". That's how the law is written and isn't controversial, just not really talked about in these kinds of doomer articles.
