  • Who would arrest them? Dems and gop both have spent a century placing nearly all government power with scotus and the executive. The judicial isnt going to start drafting an army of armed officers of the court, so that just means the executive is going to continue to use all of the power both parties decided to give it.

  • The US is shit at fighting guerilla armies despite exclusively doing so for the last 60 years. You make the mistake of invading Mexico, shit on the US side starts blowing up. Mexico won't assist the US, and if they start really sanctioning the US that's pretty much it for motor vehicles in the military. If China takes the opportunity to then sanction the US that's it for military drones and quite a lot of the air force.

Logistics and manufacturing wins engagements and wars, and other countries control both in the US.

  • The image says 16.7 for Taipei, not 6.7. neither my comment nor the image contains a 6.7.

Now you can argue all western and Eastern sources are undercounting nk and China, that's why I didn't even include nk given the natural mistrust of information from a country with less than 10k tourists a year; but any search of this info online shows the same trend: Chinese nationals dont commit suicide as often as their oppressed neighbors.

  • Sure, China. You can build a nuclear power plant from dirt to operation in 6 months. Not 10 years plus infinite overages, 6 months.

If there's not a perverse profit motive at every stage and instead people are rewarded for getting the job done and getting the job done right, you end up with high quality fast engineering.

  • The harm is simple, people get the illusion they're making a difference and that it's enough, it also legitimizes voting as the way to change things despite ample evidence it doesn't.

This leads to Dems hating protestors, or telling protestors to protest quietly and no in the road. This leads to liberals hating the working class when they go in strike, because why didn't they just vote for better conditions. It leads to liberals hating anything useful, because they already did the only 'useful' thing and voted.

This leads to lesser evilism and accepting institutions as the foundation of society, instead of any ideology that will positively change things.
