Nope. Countless stories of updates breaking everything, developer incompetency (pamac, their GUI pacman wrapper, took the AUR down twice) and a lot more.
OP is probably complaining about AUR packages needing to be compiled most of the time. In that case, use the chaotic AUR. If you don't trust it, then compile the software from the AUR yourself.
Prove it. It's probably background updating or something, I highly doubt it's spyware.
