  • Almost same experience here. In HS you could have your phone, but leave it on silence and not use it during class. In college you are more 'free' to use it whenever you want, but if you're serious about your studies you leave it on your bag and pay attention.

    Phones can have its usage restricted in school during classes and activities so students (hopefully) pay attention. Outside these ours when studying in their own, they can use it the way you mentioned in their aid with topics they need help with.

  • I really like it. All the customisation is enough that I don't miss rooting my phone. And I think I'm kinda stuck with them for a while now, because I can't live without one hand operation, which is even better when combined with one handed mode. I can do everything and reach anywhere on the screen using only one hand, without hand gymnastics.
