  • I concede that it is exponential and not logarithmic, but the original statement of yours "loses its harm exponentially" is what got us going down this tangent. I think that statement is misleading, because the truth is that the waste loses its harm exponentially slower as time goes on.

  • Exponential decay is not the same as "exponentially losing its harm"

It very slowly "loses its harm" and as time progresses, it gets even slower.

The inverse of an exponential function is still an exponential function.

  • This link shows that the number of nuclides decreases at a slower rate as time goes on. Opposite of an exponential function.

As time progresses the rate at which the nuclear waste decays into innert matter is slower and slower. This is not at all an exponential rate.

So I don't think it's correct to say "loses its harm exponentially."

It "loses its harm" more slowly as time goes on

  • Oh man... So the supreme court is going to say anyone can be on the ballot without regard for eligibility?

Or just that states are not authorized to assess the eligibility of a candidate?

In that case, at which point during the process do we stop an intelligible candidate from taking office? After half the country voted for him? Seems silly.

  • Yeah... I really don't see the motives to do this either. Possibly:

    1. I guess if you're traveling and you have to bring 2 laptops.
    2. Or you can't afford a PC with the same specs as your work laptop.

Both of those situations don't warrant booting work laptop to external personal HD though.

  • Well in the medieval textbooks it was a valid strategy....

But this is horrific and along the lines of torture. Genocide and death by forced starvation are disgusting, despicable things that should not be happening in this modern era.

Netanyahu... or however you spell his name... will go down in history next to Hitler, sadly, and the Biden administration supporting this genocide is on the wrong side of history.

Even with all this said, I'm probably still voting for Biden in 2024. 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨

  • Well, telling everyone to vote is anti conservative.

Voting has always been a large part of the Republican pathos... But they only promote voting on channels reaching Republican ears. They also actively legislate voter suppression laws that effect primarily Democratic voters.

  • I've been guilty of this... I justify it in my head by saying:

it took me 5 hours to automate a 1-hr manual task, but hey, with this practice maybe next time I'll get it done in 4 hours, then 3, and so on until I can do it in less time than the manual task would take.
