That's sad to hear. I have heard that our left wing politics are pretty much on the same spectrum as European right wing politics. That makes our right wing politics way farther right.. Basically fascists / Nazis, which makes sense considering the insurrection and the fact that Donald Trump may get elected again 🤮🤮🤮

Edit: I probably look like a communist compared to the right wing here in USA.

The only parts of this phone not open source are google proprietary drivers for the hardware. I highly doubt those are compromised.

I'm pretty confident my Pixel 6 is not phoning home to the mother ship.

Hmm seems very illegal.

Companies hire hackers to help them harden their systems and prevent being hacked.

I don't know much about Palantir but if they advertise themselves as a spy company then maybe they could help shed some light on common methods used in the industry to prevent just that.

1. Quarantined google play services on an alternate profile was a big sell for me. I don't use anything google related in my day to day but occasionally I need traffic updates or alternative routes and I'm forced to use google maps. There's a few other exceptions where I very rarely will need to use google play services.

In those situations, I can boot to an alternate profile for each app I need to use, and I know google is unable to harvest the majority of my data.

2. GrapheneOS has hardened security compared to lineageOS.
3. LineageOS did some type of takeover on cyanogenmod and I forget the details but I remember the whole situation left a sour taste in my mouth.

I used LineageOS before switching to GrapheneOS

Yeah, I agree. PFAS, lead, carbon monoxide, microplastics, all the pollutants. It would be naive to think these things don't impact the mental capacity of the globe as a whole.
