  • My mother.

She was returning something on a slow night at Best Buy.

We did not make it past the tween greeter at the front door before she unleashed!

Mom went off. The way she was talking, you would think he, personally, did something to harm her. This kid was standing there, shrinking away, with what looked like his girlfriend standing next to him. He was a door greeter, had no control or decisive role in any way.

Of course, she called a manager.

I feel real bad for that kid but love embarrassing my mother by recounting that true tale to others.

  • Does this have a name other than 'a wave'?

Looking at this makes me think of some pictures of the surface of the sun, teeming with all the roiling, explosive energy barely contained beneath the surface, and then this, a solar flare, erupts

  • Talking post-Sesame Street/Mister Rogers/Electric Co. tunes

Circa 1983 on my first plane ride alone, aged about 10, from CA to GA, headphones plugged into the armrest with the ashtray inside: 'The Tide Is High' by Blondie was the first 'grown-up' song I recall that grabbed me.

  • Both of these collections have more or less 'dropped off'.

Menus are mostly printed take-out menus, though I swiped the in-house menu as well when I could. Now, most of the casual dining places have replaced menus with QR codes.

The grass clippings were just a snip of a memorable event (cousin's college football game, first time solo camping, special event, new home, etc.).

  • This is for Stall Action: There are 4 stalls.

Almost every guy takes the stall closest to the door, so I never take that stall. Since almost every guy takes the first stall, I never take the second stall cuz, eww.

The fourth stall is the handicap stall. While roomier and equipped with handlebars should the need arise, I do not use this stall.

Therefore, the third stall is my unloading port of choice as it seems to get the least use.

  • As I understand it, there's a huge downside to federated software in the requirement to be Always Online. Lots of people have slow internet connections, or no connection at all, preventing them from accessing their software. Everyone should be able to use the programs/apps they have without regard to whether they are online or can get online.
