  • For sure, it's always easier to make specialized chips for a specific use case than general purpose ones. And once you have that nailed down, you can expand functionality from there as you go. The whole idea that US could just freeze China out of chip development has always been so obviously absurd, it's frankly shocking to me that anybody thought it could work.

  • That's a very good insight into the liberal mind. I really should read more Losurdo.

  • People who've become invested in a propaganda narrative that's now falling apart.

  • No we have not been making any great strides in any tangible reconciliation. Liberals have been making great strides in convincing the feeble minded that there's any reconciliation happening.

A far cry from how Qatar treats regular people. But keep trying.

Great way to let us know that you're a racist.

  • One has to be embarrassingly ignorant to believe that.

  • lol I'm pretty sure we have some bots running around downvoting people. I notice that I get a batch of downvotes all coming in together once a day. I absolutely love that somebody was so bothered to spend the time and effort on this.

  • Indeed, and the way they decide what the reasonable centre is entirely based on the anchoring bias of what they find familiar simply because it's the environment they grew up in.

  • I also love how deeply ingrained the whole both sideism thing is with these people. If you point out that one thing is objectively speaking better than another then you're not being balanced. There always have two be two equally valid and opposing positions in their minds so that they can smugly live in the liberal centre.

  • I love the outcomes that Chinese political structure produces, but I hate their political structure. 🤡

  • they just don't care, everything is great for their class

  • I think it's not so much that they don't know, but that there is such a vast disconnect between their lives and lives of regular people. I suspect that most oligarchs don't see themselves as villains, they just act in their own class interest and they can't relate to the needs and problems of the working class. If you bring them to a school of unprivileged kids, they'll feel sad for a bit, but ultimately conclude that this is just a necessary part of life because we're living in the best system possible.

My take away from the whole thing would be that for a system to function in the interest of the working class, it's key that people in the decision making process are themselves part of the working class, and they are directly answerable to the working majority. That necessitates the dictatorship of the proletariat to replace the dictatorship of the bourgeoisie that we have currently in the west.

And I think the comic is perfectly in line with this perspective. The problem is that the ruling oligarchy lives in its own world, and it's completely insulated from the working majority.

  • I think it's a combination of the two. Israel was created as an outpost of the empire in order to destabilize the region and to ensure that US interests were represented. However, the nature of the colony necessitates that it evolves in the way that it did.

  • I suggest you do an AMA on how you get by with a single brain cell.

  • A bit of an open verdict in your case.

  • You could only hope to match the intellectual capacity of a 5 year old my dude. This is literally your argument in a nutshell, and anybody with even a couple of brain cells to bang together would be embarrassed to type it out 😂

  • The fact that you don't understand what an utterly moronic your comment you've made is really the cherry on the cake of your stupidity.

  • Sounds like entirely a you problem loser.
