RAND estimates that the parasite class has stolen $79 Trillion from workers and the public since 1975

  • It doesn't. China's high speed rail absolutely dwarfs what Japan has.

  • It's not, but I've learned that there's no point debating this topic with aggressively ignorant people.

  • No, China does not have state capitalism. Presumably, what you refer to as "state capitalism" is the fact that much of the economy is under state ownership. However, there is a fundamental difference between regular capitalism and what you refer to as state capitalism here. The purpose of labor under actual capitalism is to create capital for business owners. Capital accumulation is the driving mechanic of the system, hence the name. Meanwhile, the purpose of state owned enterprise is to provide social value such as building infrastructure, producing food and energy, providing healthcare, and so on.

  • It's not fascist in any sense. Perhaps try defining what it is you think fascism actually is.

  • I'm not defending Ukraine. In fact, I'm not defending anything. I'm pointing out actual facts of the situation.

  • Russia didn't invade Crimea. They already had an agreement with the legitimate government of Ukraine to station a base there. Then when the west overthrew the government in a violent coup, Russia moved in to annex Crimea. Gotta put a bit more work into your propaganda there to make it more credible sounding champ.

  • Yes, history started in February 2022, context does not matter. You are very intelligent.

  • Ah yes, Russia using bombers stationed in, checks notes, Siberia to carry out strikes in Ukraine. You are a genius.

  • The base houses strategic nuclear bombers, and the reason the bombers were in the open is due to Russian compliance with the START treaty. This isn't disarming Russia in any way that helps Ukraine, and it's a massive escalation of the proxy war between NATO and Russia.

  • If you want to look at what bombing schools and hospitals actually looks like then look no further than Gaza and the genocide western regimes are openly supporting.

  • And when Russia inevitably retaliates we'll be reading headlines about unprovoked escalation by Russia.

  • And 5 years is not nearly enough time for the governance in Afghanistan to stabilize to the point where such large scale projects can even start being discussed let alone actually be completed.

  • Might just be how the plugin API in Firefox works. I haven't looked, but maybe plugins don't specify that they access a specific site, just that they need site access.

  • That's right, the NYT are secretly Russia assets. You've cracked the code little buddy.

  • depressed about futurepast :)
