  • Everybody knows OSHA is responsible for 9/11.

The collapse was a controlled demolition. A controlled demolition is meant to minimize danger to life and property. Now what organization would murder thousands of people using the safest methods?

  • This is dumb semantics. You can say they didn't pilot the spacecraft, but neither did Shepard or Gagarin. You can say they were civilians, passengers, and meant for publicity. So Christa McAuliffe isn't an astronaut now I guess.

The problem with cock-pollo 11 is not that vacuous celebrities and billionaire girlfriends get a title they don't "deserve". It's that billionaire cunts can burn down the world and call it feminist at the same time they support a regime that actively takes rights from women.

  • This is worse for Boeing than first appears. Should the trade war last, China will likely cannibalize their existing American inventory rather than purchase replacement parts.

That means Boeing is loosing money on aircraft it sold before the tariffs, and that every day this goes on, China will be less and less reliant on the American aircraft industry.

  • I think raw deportation numbers are more a function of competence and opportunity than they are a measure of which President was more anti immigration. For example Obama's deportation numbers necessarily limit how many people Biden and Trump could possibly have deported.

What you have is a through line where zombie policy, not Presidential preference dictate the raw human suffering. So that even an outlier like Trump can only gnaw on the bones left by ambivalent or even pro-immigrant administrations.

America is anti-immigration and that's so baked into the system that it almost doesn't matter who's in the chair.

  • They must realize that only confirmation from a trusted authority could be real confirmation.

This is a neat observation because it's ironic on it's face. UFO people actively work to discredit institutions and authority. But you're right, they are desperate for confirmation from the Pentagon, the Vatican, even something on official DMV letterhead would be a blockbuster event in UFO/conspiracy spaces.

  • There was a time when a Linux live CD could dominate a windows install like a porno. But then they started turning on full drive encryption and none of my tricks works anymore :(

  • There was a long time when a casual user would have been better off on Windows, but I don't think that's true anymore, at least not on every distro.

Just as you can use Windows for years and never need Group Policy or Regedit, you can do Linux just the same without terminal.

This is the area where I feel Linux has come the farthest since I became interested in it.

  • I love RDR2, but the combat was shit. You're such a John Wick/ Max Pane badass that by the end of the game you're only vulnerable in cut-scenes.

The worst part is that there is an excellent quick-draw mechanic that's hidden away in a few side-missions.
