  • You first. ಠ ل͟ ಠ

  • Here is what I gathered:

Switching to Linux mainly motivated by privacy, security, flexibility, and performance.

The writer also supports Linux as a community-driven alternative to large corporations.

The author views dual booting as beneficial for resale value, software gaps, and gaming compatibility.

The Linux installation used was Nobara, though it had its own challenges.

The writer's extensive experience with Linux dates back to the late '90s.

The Linux community's condescending and elitist attitudes are viewed as a drawback.

The writer chose Nobara Linux due to its functionality and fewer roadblocks compared to other distributions.

The performance and user experience of Nobara Linux is generally superior to Windows 11, though there are issues like Bluetooth lag and system freeze. Gaming on Steam is generally favorable, though there are minor issues with certain games.

KDE is praised for its functionality and features, especially KDE Connect for multimedia transfers. Minor issues with accessing certain file types and RGB lighting preferences are noted.

  • True. I do like that it's funnier

  • As proximity to the toilet increases, the toilet necessity increases.

  • One too many bottles of Barry's red cola

  • Provide an image of an esteemed scientist discovering it and properly date it. Only then will I believe.

  • There's a story there.

  • I didn't get it either but I got a mechanical keyboard and I can say typing all my papers feels nicer. It makes sense for people that type a lot.

  • This is actually the problem. It detects my printers immediately but often fails to print.

  • Same with mechanical keyboard nerds but they also have an effect of throwing switches at you at high speeds.

  • Interesting experiment though. I'd like to see how this plays out.

  • What's the appeal of purposely using a user unfriendly system? I'm a Linux beginner and I use easy to use distros. Just curious as to why torture yourself?

  • Speaking of which. I tried sync and I'm willing to put up with ads for the extra features and more granular customization.

  • I like to think we are in fact happier here than on Reddit.

  • It asks for password on brave browser. Seems like a browser setting issue.

Edit: I use latest Linux mint.

  • It's cause they gotta announce harder
