  • I just checked that out and am Fry ng to make a decision but am confused about storage space for users. What do people use peertube storage space for and/or why might I want it?

  • Yep. Ive stopped playing by the rules now.

Laws are far less important to me than they were a few months ago. Just following the example of the "leadership"...

  • Its all those Canadians fleeing to the US for a better life and TERKIN ARE JERBS

    /s

  • Might be out of the loop on this, but what is a "cop city"?

  • US free speech protections are very narrow in scope, only applying to the government.

This is the part I'm referring to. United States constitutional free speech. Sure the twitter thing is a debatable issue, but it's a side issue. That issue was not and is not protected by the constitution. You can argue that it should be all you want, but it currently isn't and therefore wasn't illegal.

The thing with the CDC is an actual violation of the constitution and a real life example of the government violating the rights it is supposed to be upholding.

  • Great advice except I'm confused about how to "stream everything" if we're supposed to leave our phones at home.

  • That's the point I'm making, yes.

The twitter thing was never a free speech issue, while this CDC thing is, yet the outcry for twitter seems to have been far louder than the actual govt censorship.

  • who will fix the potholes?

Make the libertarians do it! /s

Idk, ive fixed a pothole or two that bothered me near home, but yeah, I'm not doing a whole city lol

I think though that once people realize the onus is on them to fix things, people will start to fix things. Provided of course, that they have the means and ability to do so.

And then, there are still companies which can be hired to do these things, provided someone is willing to pay them

  • Thats what I want to know? This isn't Twitter choosing a policy, this is the government actually dictating what can and can't be said. Fucked.

  • I'm a really good driver. Like rules of the road and all that, sure, but I also have some training in rally cars, am decent on a race track, and am generally a top 5 finisher in whatever Sim race I enter.

Wish I could afford to enter an IRL series.

  • Woo! Same, bud!

I wish I had a school near me. Its been a long time.

  • No, but this is a desired result of the technique.

  • Oof ive had similar happen to me, not a fun time lol. They were so tiny too!

I guess I'm just glad I wasn't their mother or they might have tried to eat me.

  • Two weeks after a hurricane. Couldn't get out of the driveway for a few days either. Fortunately we were renovating a bathroom and had an empty bathtub in the yard that filled with rain and were able to use a gas stove to boil water.

  • I'm confused about the context of "on line" vs "in line"

Are we talking about standing in a queue, or using the internet, or one's behavior ("you'd better get get yourself in line!"), or auto racing terminology ("stay on your line" or "hold your line", often shortened to "stay on line")?

Doubt it's that last one lol but where are those two getting mixed up and how might they differ from "online" (internet) and "inline" (skates)?

Lol this is such a fun thread

  • Thanks! I am still pretty inexperienced so I'm inadvertently doing both at the same time with the same few machines haha
