  • Agreed. And I want groups like this to succeed. But we need a single, easily digestible message that can encompass all of these issues under one roof. That issue, imo, is wealth inequality. But now it all comes down to phrasing. It’s an issue that isn’t hard to get people on board with if, and only if, we are careful with messaging and branding. I wish I was joking, but that’s the world we live in. Not the one where I demand everything, get nothing, and keep being frustrated that it never changes. It’s time to adapt or continue the cycle of losing.

  • I couldn’t find that immediately on their site but Wikipedia told me it’s:

Which imo is an unrealistic bucket of goals, not a unified call to action

  • Exactly. Maybe if you’re seeing it everywhere that’s because the issue is so pervasive it affects that much of the lives of those using it. So either do something about it or go to spaces where people don’t have problems I guess.

  • Thank you - I’m sick of being told class issues cannot be separated from social issues. You have to be laser focused on: all issues are class issues. Adding social issues as a non-negotiable factor is self-defeating. Remember: all issues are class issues. Lock that in, do not be distracted by anything else claiming one isn’t possible without the other. All issues are class issues, period.

  • No, Bernie got done dirty in the primary process each time, super delegates, getting people like Buttigieg to drop out for promises of favors - but it’s convenient there wasn’t a primary in 2024 so they could just pick someone else for you openly.
