Organized religion is essentially organized crime in the guise of religion. Religious leaders who provide this disguise and their blind faithful who allow & enable these crimes are equally at fault with the criminals.

Why would you engage in whataboutery and try to minimise the sexual abuse happening in Boy Scouts when 82,000 former scouts have come forward with sexual abuse claims, when BSA has had to pay $2.4Billion in sex abuse settlements, when Boy Scouts in UK have paid Millions of Pounds in sex abuse settlements, when investigative reports say there's a huge problem of sexual predators in Boy Scouts?

You equated all of that to the school system just to be dramatic and to cause a scene. Had you linked data/ reports to support your equating the abuse in Boy Scouts to abuse that happens in the school system, then we could've had a healthy discussion.

But a healthy discussion wasn't your objective, your objective was to disrupt the discussion. So you made the thread all about your hurt feelings and tantrumed using abusive language.. You came in here and now the thread is full of your enabling b..s. and name-calling. Just read your own nasty comments, before preaching self-awareness.

I loved scouts and highly suggest people get into it.

Their comment encouraging people to send their children to an org on a thread discussing child sexual abuse inside the org is just so beyond the pale, even catholic church-goers don't do that.
