  • Or you type into Google "what's the song that goes dun dundun dooo dodododo dooo" and you somehow get the right result because some other monkey asked the same question on a message board and by some stroke of luck got an answer.

This worked for the funeral dancing song because I couldn't remember what it was from but it was stuck in my head for a week.

  • Yeah I had a slight leg up I worked as a CNA in the trauma/burn ICU all through college so a lot of practical skills were second nature but yeah we were expected to know a lot of things that weren't taught in lecture or practicals.

  • Bless you, I got a useless degree and went back to school in my late 20s to get my RN I did one semester and dropped out because it was so awful.

Nursing instructors eat their own, it was a terrible experience. It wasn't humbling but humiliating. I stumbled into success in business but I still think about nursing school a lot. One of my realest failures where I straight up tapped out.

  • Damn BC is gorgeous I didn't realize where you were. I'm used to seeing trail maps like that in Illinois US and it's just a dirt path through some trees and around a man made lake. I gotta drive about 3 hours to get to anywhere with interesting geography - mostly glacial lakes and valleys in the Midwest.

I grew up in Colorado I miss the Rockies, they're truly magical.

But yeah rock climbers love giving crags and routes stupid pun names, it's charming.

  • For sure, some of the worst by some accounts. I'm not that familiar with the lower west side, but even by me wayyyy up north there are certain neighborhoods where if everyone got together in one place there's almost a guarantee for violence.

Which I guess is my point, if that neighborhood has a lot of issues with gang violence the event planners should have been proactive and secured different spot. If they didn't see it coming or the police got wind of something the day of, not much anyone can really do.

  • They like to live in piles of dead leaves. Between suburban neighborhoods having landscapers haul away yard waste and using pesticides to keep those lawns perfect, they have nowhere to live.

If you go to rural areas they're still around.
