At this price it probably will anyway because so few people will pay it.

I'd like a cheaper version that doesn't have all those extra services that I wouldn't use anyway but still gives me the actual app features like tagging etc instead.

A small community of people who are probably mostly not interested in paying quite this much for an app.

If this is what it costs to continue development then I'm going to be surprised if enough people pay it to ensure its long term viability as a business in the first place.

Two hours is a laughably short amount of time to figure out if a game sucks usually.

The price of this game makes it one you should definitely be a patient gamer on. Not only will you save a ton of money but it'll probably be Denuvo free eventually too.

I wouldn't buy YouTube Premium either and they have significant hosting costs compared to the this app. So do the Lemmy server owners as well.

I think the dev deserves compensation for their app but the asking price is too much, for me anyway.

Windows as an immutable OS will completely trap you within it's own walled garden. It's been done and you really don't want their take on it.

Everything that I've written on both Reddit in the past and on here is only done in Minecraft.

Usually I notice the admins are right onto it and actually take reports seriously. It's so refreshing.

Give me Sync NotQuiteUltra without cloud garbage and just charge me the 1 time fee then.

My only criticism is the subscription fee instead of a one off charge for the full set of features. I would like a lot of them but I don't need cloud sync or another ongoing cost to worry about.

I'm finding I use Lemmy more than Reddit, because the place is less hostile and the discussions are usually actually worth reading again.

I had that attitude for a while but as I got used to it yeah, it's easily superior. I wouldn't go back.

I remember feeling a kind of resentment when the Digg exodus happened at the time but hey. Lemmy reminds me of that time once again.

Reddit just faked it all until it made it basically. The creators of it are even on the record talking about it.

Lemmy could do the same if it wanted.

Reddit's video player has always been shit and it's actually a fairly recent addition to the website. Same with actual image hosting too.

I mean, I guess that's a complement in a way at least.

So ultimately the goal is to just lock people into his own ecosystem. Nice.

The worse case you mention is probably actually the best case scenario tbh. If they deliver beyond that it'll be a bonus. Right now, this is just looking like yet another Kickstarter self-filling water bottle scam in the making.
