  • Watch out that you don't invoke the wrath of that one weirdo and his alt accounts that can't handle more than 1 image, especially a comic in his memes. Man that freak gave me a good laugh yesterday.

  • Some of these games, like Starfield, cost an absolute fortune ($120 AUD where I live on Steam). I'm simply not going to pay that much for a game but will happily pick up something like Sea of Stars for less than half the price.

  • You shouldn't use Brave simply because it's heavily infected with crypto shit and tries to monitorize your web browsing time by default. Not everything you do has to be a side hustle.

Sure you can "switch it off" but then why not use something else in the first place that's focus isn't trying to make money out of you. If Brave ever gained any decent market share the web would be an even shitter place than what Google is suggesting at the moment.

  • In that particular case, 100% the parents should be responsible as they failed in their duty to lock up their firearm like responsible firearm owners. It's the latter part that's important, it doesn't matter if they were also parents or not.

You can't apply a blanket rule to hold parents responsible for all of their kids criminal actions. It will lead to much more child abuse and worse.

  • You should be using the best tool for the job, even when it comes to operating systems and software. If your development workflow is this heavily dependent on Linux then I'm not surprised you find it Windows more painful compared to just running Linux itself.

For myself, mostly doing enterprise and backend development in C#, Python and a bit of Go, Windows gets out of my way and let's me get to work far more efficiently than Linux ever does for this work.
