  • The US blankets the world with military bases, refuses to ratify over 40 international treaties and has been meddling in other countries elections for the last hundred years. If they don’t get their way they impose sanctions, organise a coups and commence other destabilisation efforts.

Americans have been manipulated by their media for just as long and cannot tolerate any news source that is not part of the US/Nato approved propaganda bubble because it makes them feel bad. And then we see Biden banging his his pulpit and saying, "American must lead the world in the 21st century."

Damn right I question US imperialistic motives. The 85% of the world, that is not the US or its poodles, don't want American leadership. You cant even lead yourselves.

  • That applies to every news organization that falls back on sources such as "an expert familiar with the matter", or "speaking anonymously because they are not authorized to talk to the press" etc etc.

They all do it and we accept it as fact, only questioning it when it is something we disagree with.

  • There is nothing in Article 23 that isn't included in any other country's security laws. Since western mouthpieces only tell you that it is bad rather than telling you what exactly is in it you should read it for yourself, https://hongkongfp.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/Hong-Kong-Article-23-draft-legislation.pdf

But critics such as the US government

THE US government spends three-hundred-million tax payer dollars per year on anti-China propaganda.

    (a) Countering Chinese influence fund.—There is authorized to be appropriated $300,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2020 through 2024 for the Countering Chinese Influence Fund, https://www.congress.gov/bill/116th-congress/house-bill/7937/text

“Actions by Hong Kong authorities, including referring to RFA as a ‘foreign force’

Radio Free Asia is part of the CIA’s propaganda network. It works in partnership with something called the Open Technology Fund (OTF) which is used to funnel money to rioters. That is now illegal, it wasn’t before.

  • “Actions by Hong Kong authorities, including referring to RFA as a ‘foreign force,’ raise serious questions about our ability to operate in safety with the enactment of Article 23,” Bay Fang, president and chief executive of Radio Free Asia, said in a statement.

Well, of course, Radio Free Asia is part of the CIA's propaganda network. It works in partnership with something called the Open Technology Fund (OTF) which was used to funnel money to rioters. That is now illegal, it wasn't before.

With regards to freedom of the press, it says:

    (b) human rights are to be respected and protected, the rights and freedoms, including the freedoms of speech, of the press and of publication, the freedom of association, of assembly, of procession and of demonstration, enjoyed under the Basic Law, the provisions of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights as applied to the HKSAR, are to be protected in accordance with the law

There is nothing in it that is not in anyone else's security law, you can read the whole thing here if you don't believe me:

It is also worth noting that hongkongfp is fiercely anti-China yet they continue to operate in Hong Kong unmolested

  • We’re not shaming anyone for voting for genocide. We’re shaming you for helping usher in an American Dictatorship

The choice between Genocide Joe and a fluorescent narcissist gangster, what a great democracy, eh?
