Dude, look at the current support for audio drivers. Do you really want to deal with that for your ears?

Curious, what works everyone’s number be. How much world you have to get paid to do this.

That’s taking it to the extreme, but I can emulate switch with no problem using. An rx 470 4gb model. That’s like under $100.

My wife and I used to go to used bookstore all the time and do this. We have a lot of books. We both like to read, but work a lot so have little time to actually finish a book.

Hopefully as we get older we will have more time.

Good think about books is that they are pretty hardy.

I think the only thing that could have been done better if for mods to more rapidly migrate to other plate forms and leave a detail message on the locked subreddit about why and how to move to the platform.

I’m not saying that it has to be Lemmy, but it would have been nice if it were.

That’s essentially what I’m doing by just using a second computer with windows for work. I very occasionally need to be mobile for work so the laptops windows and work and the desktop is Linux.

But in the past I have used a vm for work.

The way I see it is, at least for my work, I can go cheap and use windows which is hit or miss hardware and crap OS or you can pay for MacOS and at least have something reliable and high quality hardware.

Both take your data.

I use Linux for my personal machine, but it’s sadly not an option for the software I need for my work. I checked regularly and the moment their is a Linux client for the software in use, I will switch over.

I agree, I don’t think people in the states life the worst quality life by almost any means, but the quality of life has changed very quickly and people are having trouble dealing with a sudden much lower quality of life.

I think this will cause things to break suddenly and violently when it happens. I’m happily living in a third would country. People ask me why I don’t movie back home, but I don’t really give much of an answer. It’s like everyone understands subconsciously that it’s not a good place to live.

You need money to run and young people done have the money.

I forget who it was, possibly Andre yang, who said that the money spent on campaigns should come from a pool and every vote you get in a primary translates to how much federal money you are granted or something.

I forget, but there are plenty of options, but it will only take power from the people who have it , so, of course nothing will change.
