  • It's a bit dated by now I'm sure but I'm a fan of my Rakk Ang Lam Pro (or for me, the Falcon Elite TKL - same thing) that I got from Flashquark.

$80 board with media scroll wheel and a Win lock. Hotswappable so your favorite switches likely work. It is just a plastic housing but it's sturdy and there's no major flex or wear after 3 years.

Spilled a beer on it and washed the board, all still fully functional.

  • Ah that would make sense lol

  • It has 2 votes and the second comment just hasn't been voted on. But I also use Windscribe - the only thing to know about it is that there's been a probe. I personally feel that they handled it well and were transparent about it. Every VPN is going to have this happen to them at some point so IMO it's about how the information is delivered to the users that determines how trustworthy I find them.

  • Basically what @MetalZealot and you have to worry about are if you've downloaded enough to make a profitable case going after you in a civil suit.

As for using the VPN, any worthwhile VPN has split tunneling with inclusion and exclusion lists. I use Windscribe personally

  • The only thing that's cool about it is the actor/trivia information - otherwise it really is pretty terrible lol

  • Compared to Amazon, where they rip right from the server lol

  • Nah, Nintendo is the king of manufactured and artificial difficulty, right next to the masters Capcom (specifically the R.E. team)

  • I've also once solved a flicker by resetting my CMOS and then doing DDU - chances are slim but it's worth a shot along with the cable

  • I was tired of using MicroG services so I switched to LibreTube

  • 100% @gargari

Even something simple like syncthing is very easy

  • Bandcamp is nice because even if the album is $0 you can still add some money for the artist.

Similarly, many times albums will be pay what you can, so it can be nice spending $0 on an album.

  • I know it's not the point, but I do think it would be easier to set up a photo server than to hack around Google.

  • Related videos somewhat still show up when you're in a video. It's true that the homepage is just default YouTube though

  • In browser audio sampler with fairly decent tools

  • The one I haven't been able to find a good replacement for is Sampler.

  • Hm, I could have sworn I had read an article around here (roughly the last two months maybe, likely more recently) saying that the MAS had been patched by Microsoft, but now I can't find anything about it at all. Odd.

Well, good that it's still functioning!

  • Didn't microsoft recently push something to prevent these from working?

  • It is but it also has servers. There's a fair amount of groups that upload shows and the like.

I've always assumed music is probably mediocre and the rest of the visual content to be low quality stuff though, it seems like it may be oriented towards people who want to watch things on their phone.

  • That's too bad, I've always liked Tails. Was lucky that it ran on a mid 2012 MacBook Pro, but the non-working hardware list is pretty large. Some people prefer Qubes and Whonix anyway
