  • So, to clarify.

You have a word that is hotly contested as pretty offensive to a group of people who deal with a lot of regular mockery and ridicule. A word so regularly debated on if it counts as reclaimed or insulting that it sounds like a conversation Ive had many many many times about such slurs as dyke, trannie, and faggot with other queer folk.

And youre shocked that a respectful company isnt chomping at the bit to use it to sell video games?

Just to make sure. Thats the stance you want to take right now?

  • I think the people with the condition are the ones who said the term can be offensive, which is why valve was not gung ho on using it.

I dont think its really up to you on if their opinion on their own insults is a bad take or not. Do you step in like this about other insults and slurs for other people?

  • Bold claim to say that the reason people dont like the game is because the players play the game wrong.

Even if it was secretly the goty, and you just needed to stand on your head and cross your eyes to really play it.... Thats still the games fault for not making it obvious how to play it "correctly," no?

  • Well, that depends. Do you mean gpt the specific chunk of lln code? Or do you mean gpt the website and service?

Because while the nitpicking details matter to the programmers fixing it, how much does that distinction matter to you or I, the laymen using the site?

  • Youre pretty young, huh. When something on the internet from a big company is free, youre the product.

Youre bug and stress testing their hardware, and giving them free advertising. While using the cheapest, lowest quality version that exists, and only for as long as they need the free QA.

The real AI, and the actual quality outputs, cost money. And once they are confident in their server stability, the scraps youre picking over will get a price tag too.

  • No, they are selling you time in a digital room with a machine, and all of the things it spits out at you.

You dont own the program generating these images. You are buying these images and the time to tinker with the AI interface.

  • Watch the trailer. The backgrounds are all at min an homage to HK, and the foresty ones are almost straight greenpath / queens gardens

Its not "they copied the genre" the game specifically has art direction like HKs style

  • Im blown away to learn thats not a normal feature for the other handheld gaming pcs.

I am also slightly less surprised, but still surprised, to learn there isnt a snappy name for this type of computer, like tower or laptop.
