That would be implying that only learning about battles is "learning about the 2nd ww". And it would deny that learning about society, policy and civilian suffering is part of learning about the war.
I first ate avocado in ~2007 when my grandparents from the silent generation brought some back from their visit to Bolivia. So I can say I ate it before it was cool (in Europe).
In the epilogue she says we haven't tested scoring methods.
But in my local county council elections we had something to that degree. Every candidate (multiple candidates per party and independents) had three boxes. And every elector had 12 or 20 or something crosses to distribute. So you could give 3, 2, 1 or 0 crosses to a candidate.
Maybe the difference is, that didn't yield a single winner but elected members of the council.
Which is also a much more glaring issue with fptp systems: not the race for president, but the fact that there are only 2 parties in parliament.
There is a bit of German internet lore here. Shopping carts are called Gittertiere (grille animals). And there's also a community Gittertiere on feddit.de where we post grille animals in the wild, living their natural lives (abandoned shopping carts).
This grille animal was "stuffed", more accurately translated to taxidermied, which I expressed my sadness about.
I get it but....
The fact that a team changes town is such an insane concept to me. I don't know the SeaWolves, but they are probably called Seattle SeaWolves, right? So they carry the name of the city.
Where I'm from (Germany) that team would be dead instantly in the eyes of the fans.
If f. ex. Victoria Berlin renamed itself to FC Berlin, the fans would find it weird but probably go along. 7f the moved to Magdeburg and are now Victoria Berlin but not in Berlin they would lose their fans. And wouldn't gain Magdeburger Fans.
If you're interested I would recommend you to check out the recent rise of FC Union Berlin. They've risen to the first division about 5 years ago and still play in a pretty old and basic stadium. They display of the current goals is still done by changing boards with numbers on them through a window.
And they managed to play in the champions League despite having an old stadium. Sadly they played their European games in the bigger Olympia stadium. I wish they would have hosted Real Madrid in the old forestry (name of the stadium "die Alte Försterei").
Yes, but a flag is not the place to tell history. It usually depicts your ideals.
If Germany had f.ex. a shattered David's Star on their flag, that would accurately depict history. But it would read as antagonism and a current stance on things. As if it was their goal to destroy Jewish people.
I think you misunderstood the title. Australia will not sign the death certificate of small islands like Samoa. They will suffer heavily if we don't stop with fossil fuels.
Good point, owning it as a side vehicle like an old tractor makes more sense.
My gripe with pickup trucks is more when they appear in traffic, in parking lots sticking out at every corner, in too narrow streets, around children who they can't see cause they have their eyes 5 yards in the sky and a bonnet obstructing everything apart from the horizon, having a fuel economy and co2 emittance of a lorry without the contribution to our essential goods infrastructure.
That would be implying that only learning about battles is "learning about the 2nd ww". And it would deny that learning about society, policy and civilian suffering is part of learning about the war.
I disagree with that.
