  • Right there with you. Full size ATX machine circa 2010ish, can still play GTA V fine enough. The only reason it isn’t my media server is because my Mac mini does that for less power.

The big guy keeps chugging along when I need him, so the funds go elsewhere.

  • Currently Spotify. Would like to change to stop supporting them (they don’t prioritize development in Apple ecosystem, e.g. HomePod support, audio quality could improve, supporting of podcasters I wish to not support, etc.), BUT my other half enjoys Dax Shepard’s podcast too much.

Fuck you, Dax, for going exclusive on the same platform as Joe Rogan.

  • I didn’t see it mentioned specifically — Mosquito Barrier is a black garlic-based spray that works super well. I’ve used it at high concentrations to handle a yard.

I also use Essentria IC3, another non-toxic-to-mammals spray. Works better than the Mosquito Barrier, I think.

Both are safe for people and pets, and I think both smell pretty decent to boot.

  • Back in college, I lived in a row of older apartments. Opposite our living room wall was our neighbor’s bedroom. He was found in his bed, 4 days following his passing. Summer. No AC. When his apartment door was opened, the odor spread out and around. It’s a smell I won’t forget.

But the worst smell I’ve had the fortune of smelling is a colostomy bag / baseplate wafer thing.

  • Morning. Noon. Night. Should have named our girl Callas and the boy Pavarotti.

Honestly though it can be both super cute and awesome having conversations with them, and it can also be super rough trying to deal with 3am conversations.

  • You rock. But don’t think you’re talking me out of an MK4, either. ;-)

Edit: For anyone finding this, and considering the MicroSwiss lever kit for their Creator Pro: STOP.

It's /NOT/ a good solution based on many reviews (b/c single screw is used for tension and pivot mechanism, and the top plate is too tall / obstructs filament).

  • Thank you!

After my recent PETG jam on the Creator Pro, due to extruder slipping and a consequential jam, I’ve been looking at options for another machine.

Maybe the MK4 is in my future.

  • It’s a bit dated, but I had an excellent beginner 3D printing experience on my Flashforge Creator Pro. The OG.

It’s a bit slow, but very consistent out of the box. It was also pre-built, which was nice.

It was heaps easier to get going compared to my Anet A8. But I learned a lot on the A8 by putting it together.
