I got one of these Ryzen 7 5800X CPUs and I was running it against a much more updated Intel CPU on blender rendering using the Luxcore engine which simulates light rays. The gaming AMD CPU kicked the Intel Xeon gold 5218 to the curve. Usually the thing is just sitting idle, but when I need the power it delivers.

Even now we could stop doing idiotic things and we might recover in a few years? But if we continue, we'll run out of every single company's rainy day fund. At that point in the not too distant future we'll start seeing one no-name company go belly up. Then a few days later two, then the next day ten, then 200. Finally we'll be in a deepest recession ever. People will be jumping out of buildings.

Wouldn't it be better if Canada or Mexico Annexed us? It would send the right kind of signals to the world... "We are cool with everyone" "we want pace". Wouldn't that work? We would gain some more political parties to diversify our political system. I'm not saying let's do it. Its just a thought experiment. At the end of the day we're all Americans inside.
