  • Apple doesn't make any kind of necessity. Every single one of their products is completely optional in life and has alternatives.

If people are willing to pay for it, whatever. It's a luxury. It's not medicine or housing.

  • what? The "left" has always been the side of revolutionary upstarts and underdogs. The right is the conservative, old guard, established players.

you're literally trying to rewrite history just to try to hate Musk a little more

  • it was before he was an actual celebrity and was only known for creating Tesla/SpaceX. He was also "only" a millionaire and well before Tesla stock went nuts, and he also wasn't posting like crazy on Twitter so people only knew him via Tesla and SpaceX's achievements, both of them legendary underdogs looking to overthrow the well-established big industry corporations.

  • no small efficiency cores... really have to wonder what the battery life will be with this.

Then again, maybe simply running the large core at a lower speed will end up being the same efficiency as a small core? Qualcomm is also cutting down on small cores for the Gen 3...

  • The English phrase is "missing the forest for the trees"

Not quite the same as chess blindness. Possibly the opposite. It basically means: being unable to see (or ignoring) the bigger picture because you're too focused on minor individual details

  • I'd be happy with a mid-range phone too, except I want a good camera. That's basically the only reason I'm looking at high end phones...

Also it's such bullshit that only mid-range phones have SD cards these days.

  • Yuck. Minimal upgrades from last generation yet they increase the price. Artificially limiting software features to the pro.

And those prices are for 128gb? Just so they can overcharge you for more memory upgrades.
