  • You don't get it because you don't have the endless supply of information on ever man woman and child on earth.

The information is valuable so they can continue to squeeze every cent out of everyone I'm every way possible, including those who can't afford to spend it.

  • This has been my first struggle with Wayland. Used to be able to enable remote desktop with a single check box in most distros, then VNC into it from a Windows PC no problem. It's a real hassle now and glitchy at best once it's up and going. I gave up and have been using Anydesk to remote access a machine, and even that wasn't simple to get going.

  • I get what you say that they can't afford to be tossing out old equipment ... But there hasn't been a x86 based 32bit PC made in over 20 years. Are you really trying to find an OS for systems that old or is this just a thought experiment?

  • We use Edge in our company for the integration since off of our users are on 365.

On some hold outs that kept trying to cling on to Chrome, I just changed the beachball shortcut on their desktop to open Edge instead. None of them have noticed the change over a year later.

  • Sorry that I live in a state with a size as big as your county, and a city with a population as large as a lot of countries.

In order to get everything that close you'd have to stack people on top of each other in slums like the kowloon.

I would much rather drive a mile to the store than to live in a little box stacked on top of other people.

But I guess we should just tear down hundreds of cities like mine and start all over to make them bike friendly. 🤣
