  • fun fact: gab supports federation over activitypub

  • this is actually a part of type c spec btw
there's also a single screw version

  • they probably swapped it over because new. version was very buggy if not logged in

  • reddit has a huge backlog of billions of posts. until lemmy keeps up with it, i won't completely leave reddit, because my favorite part about reddit is exploring obscure communities, which lemmy does not have. (I'm using lemmy for actual discussions and stuff) Also I think it's still the most decent network out of all big tech ones, i.e. it's not as bad as fucking Instagram or whatever...

  • devs can assign keys to specific promotions, and mass recall unactivated keys, activated games from people's accounts, so yeah this is possible even though needs to be done manually, but most devs don't do it

  • to be fair, the free "review" keys often end up on websites like g2a and kinguin, so if I were to publish a game on Steam, I would've replied with the same thing to anyone asking me for free keys....

  • please don't, it literally fills half the screen for me

  • it's geoblocked to god knows what country

  • well i actually think it's quite a reasonable measure.

other websites would've locked you out completely if your ip is suspected of being used in a ddos attack, while reddit does provide an option to continue using the website for registered users

  • aaand they're sold out

  • you're not supposed to anyway. it's used for internal azure infrastructure

  • isn't nprotect also a game anticheat/drm thingy

  • also format does not actually completely overwrite most of the data, so you'll probably just end up with a couple corrupted blocks, which are fixable with some minor data loss

  • it's definitely not detached from political stuff, but it's definitely much less serious. think of it as war/political shitposting community

  • yeah

  • actually if you want a customizable keyboard, Samsung one probably has no competition
but then it's proprietary and the default english spell checker uses grammarly, which is widely considered a keylogger...

  • instructions unclear, dick stuck in ms teams
