Who cares how you view the Overton Window differently? Sorry but I must quote Lukács
In contrast to Germany, the U.S.A. had a constitution which was democratic from the start. And its ruling class managed, particularly during the imperialist era, to have the democratic forms so effectively preserved that by democratically legal means, it achieved a dictatorship of monopoly capitalism at least as firm as that which Hitler set up with tyrannic procedures. This smoothly functioning democracy, so-called, was created by the Presidential prerogative, the Supreme Court’s authority in constitutional questions, the finance monopoly over the Press, radio, etc., electioneering costs, which successfully prevented really democratic parties from springing up beside the two parties of monopoly capitalism, and lastly the use of terroristic devices (the lynching system). And this democracy could, in substance, realize everything sought by Hitler without needing to break with democracy formally. In addition, there was the incomparably broader and more solid economic basis of monopoly capitalism.
They might not want the Palestinians to be violently bombed and instead might opt for control or slow silent deaths through starvation or occupation. What they definitely do not want is for 5 million Palestinians to join them and become citizens with equal rights.
At this point some of the cooler heads in intelligence or ex spooks who retired to commentariat understand their actions are self-destructive, too noisy. One guy said they should never have drawn attention to the hostages, just killed them.
I know what you're thinking, tankies. This is counterproductive, why would he do this?
Remember your Hypernormalization, Putin engages in counterproductive actions in order to spread malaise and make people take solace in tearful-but-bopful Burial listening sessions instead of political activity.
After blowing up their own pipeline, is this ridiculous?
Interesting but it makes me apprehensive about the way liberals will cope with these events.
Someone pointed out to me they will just act like Netanyahu was Israeli Trump and this is an aberration of democracy (not to say that is The Take about Trump either lol)
Okay I definitely need to finish the "review" of people's republic of walmart but it's like 20 pages and it feels more like an unrelated treatise at this point
I'm gonna be honest, I don't think the race for president is an important place to invest political energy, of which I have a finite amount. Local agitation & elections are more flexible honestly. Stop a city council from destroying some ecosystem further. Elect a lady who hates Jeff Bezos (idk if this made any difference but it took little energy to do my part).
I don't think I actually care who wins ❓ they subsequently either ride the wave of shit, or they wipe out. Regardless of what people think the kinder Zionist Sen. Sanders would have accomplished in the general election (when the dems would have assuredly pulled funding), being in the Oval Office itself would be a completely different story. Nixon wasn't enough of a ghoul for Washington half of the time, mein gott.
I lied I am looking for it now, thought this was the middle of my sleep cycles but I just conked out at old people hours lol
