  • Here, in the US, people have difficulty accepting that America doesn't have direct influence on all other nations.

  • They just want to make money. They've covered the country with cameras and then they dropped the speed limit to a brisk walk. Breaking 20mph is almost guaranteed by accident, and those cameras are going to snitch.

    Good job guys.

  • Nintendo did the same thing. I don't remember the exact details, but they took a pirated copy of NES Super Mario Bros and were reselling it on another platform. As much as a dislike Nintendo and Take-Two/Rockstar for their business practices I can understand that it's probably easier to just take back "stolen" and modified code and use it for themselves instead of repeating the process of getting around old copyright BS in order to resell the game.

It's scummy, but I get it.

  • Sounds like there's going to be some food shortages coming up in Portugal.

  • I don't know. But at this point things I'm not seeing a civil way out of the current situation.

  • The headline makes it sound like we've accidentally exterminated all life on Mars. What it actually states is that we might be accidentally killing the samples we collect because of our testing methodology.

  • When I clock the link it just goes to the homepage of the site.

  • Well, that is an argument for it.

  • The effectiveness of being a public nuisance is arguable, if your goal is to actually get more people to share your opinion.

  • Can we stop posting paywalled articles?

  • The activists wanted attention and they were going to block the road until they got the maximum attention that was possible. This is that maximum. I do believe that the cops were reckless. They should have just walked up, cuffed them, pack them up, and just drive away.

  • Instead of "alternatively" let's say "in addition". We're not going to solve anything with a single solution we need nuclear, we need solar and other renewables, and we need to upgrade the grid. All at the same time.

  • You got any more of them, pixels?

  • Correct, but they want to keep plausible deniability.
