  • "Albanese said Australia had traded nothing with China for Cheng’s release."

I'm pleasantly surprised, but this also could be a lie. I'm glad she's out. There's no justifiable reason it took 3 years.

  • It's has a normal charging port that take the small blue HP charger, and it's USBc port can also be used for charging. I recommend double checking the specs of whatever you're buying just to make sure I'm not imagining it.

  • And that's exactly what people were worried might happen.

  • I think it's tribalism. On one hand it's important to feel like you're part of a group of peers and it's good to help the tribe so that the tribe helps you.

But what a "tribe" is, is different for different people. And often it leads to the "us vs them".

  • I grew up in Russia. I'm all for "Slavic brotherhood". I think that we should all help each other and celebrate our shared cultures!

But unfortunately too many people think that to support their "people" they need to support their government. I live in the US and same thing happens here. People think that to be a patriot you need to be obedient.

I wish we could decouple those concepts. You can love a country for what it represents to you, but hate what it's been turned into.

  • Oh yeah, I can't try it because it's Facebook. It's just funny how cool and fun these AI tools are in the first month of release before people try to censor them and make them useless.

  • I know right? These people are so keen to defend a system that operates them.

  • I love BG3 and I have nothing against it's animations. But what is it that you like? Honestly, I see a lot of people praise the animations, but besides a few scenes, the animations just seem "good". Not mind blowing, but not bad in any way. So I don't get that praise, but I'm sure there's something that other people see in it that I don't.

That being said the game is great. I haven't had this much fun since KotOR.

  • Thank God that enough people in this country still have a bad taste in their mouth when it comes to Marxists. Hopefully this guy doesn't get far.

  • Nope, didn't say anything like that.

  • They're not compatible in YOUR opinion. In my opinion they are. Both countries were full of people who wanted independence. Both countries saw USSR as a bigger threat to them then Nazi Germany. As tragic as the Holocaust is, normal grunts like you and weren't aware of it, so it was completely irrelevant to the decision making. Both countries needed help against their enemy. Both went to get help from the enemies of their enemies.

Nazis were bad. But at the time we didn't know that. It was just another country. We can take lessons from that about being pickier about our allies, but at that time, to those people, Germany just seemed like someone who could help against the Russians.
