  • Your driving instructor was wrong, and not even in the realm of correct. You keep your foot on the break pedal at a light, not put the parking brake up. In no world is sitting a light in neutral with your foot on the brake any more dangerous than Any. Single. Automatic that does the exact same thing if you were to be rear ended, roll forward. Except in this case, with your foot off the brake, the vehicle with an auto is going to roll slightly faster, because it's having torque applied.

Edit: oh ya, if you're putting your handbrake up while at a light, it makes you slower to react to changing circumstances. I'll give a scenario that I saw 3 times today: You're a new and inexperienced driver and a emergency vehicle comes from around a corner behind you while you're sitting at a light, and you're in the outermost lane which currently has the least traffic in it, and you have to move for it to get past. Which outcome seems more likely, A) the new and inexperienced driver smoothly releases the handbrake, applies the clutch and throttle equally while having slidden the shifter expertly into 1st gear, or 2) they shift into 3rd because its probably not the smoothest gearbox for their first manual and then dump the clutch with no throttle, stall, try to fire it up, remember they need to apply the clutch, start it and then stall into 3rd, then same thing after shifting into 1st but the handbrake is still up?

  • If that's metal and a side pic of the vehicle I would make sure it's not the tank protector, if it is you might have to replace at you want something protecting a plastic tank. If it is from the tank, I would recommend putting a few zip ties up to hold it, if not you'll be fine. Only other thing is water can do damage depending on where it hits (to wiring and modules) so don't aim for puddles and you'll be fine.

Edit: more I look it's plastic, you'll be fine.

  • Sweet response that addressed almost nothing they said and only chose to condescend to them. Are cigarettes unflavored? Because I sure preferred that taste and only continue to not smoke because I enjoy vaping fruity flavours, and know that it's better for me than smoking. And hell yeah, let's get rid of one use devices and bring back RDAs, RDTAs and all the other stuff that initially helped me quit smoking, and then let's further legislate and ban the sale of vapes from gas stations and crack down on vape shops who sell to minors. Bet you that works a lot better than anything you'd suggest.

  • Lmao, not an American, but let's use.... Germany as an example. In the 2025 elections, the AFD (hard right fascists) doubled their seat count in parliament. I don't think you have a solid understanding of how bad eugenics can get, or how it actually would take effect in a modern world. Actually, it seems you don't understand much of anything.

  • Are you that blind to the world? Do you really look at something like.... The Trump administration, and think "Like, hw stupid can you all be? Who’s going to decide? Obvious professionals who know of kids and have worked with them. Social workers, pedopsychiatrist, teachers, etc.".

Very clearly professionals and the people who have the best in mind are not the ones who are chosen by those in power. Get real, truly pathetic take
