  • Not heard of this one. Thanks.

  • A bit heavy for my taste.

  • I was a dedicated xplore user for years until I saw all the advertising cookies that they stuffed into it. That made me sad and I uninstall it.

  • Well my transfers aren't "time critical" either, but life feels easier if I don't have to jump through hoops to solve a task that involves copy files around.

Re: next cloud, looking for something more lightweight than that.

  • How is setting up e2e on matrix these days?

  • If TSMC doesn't want to set up shop in the USA, are the USA going to be able to produce chips on par with what TSMC can fab?

  • I'm not in to smart watches, but I'm happy this is happening. A couple of friends really liked the pebble and were sad to see it go.

If you click "no" on the website it takes you to the Google pixel watch site. My goodness that thing is ugly.

  • Glasses frames are really, really, expensive for no good reason, other than monopoly. So if people are making it so that we can print our own frames, I'm all for it.

  • I quite enjoy:

    • philosophise this
    • escape pod
    • darknet diaries
    • the skeptics guide to the universe
    • the jordan harbinger show
    • search engine (and reply all)
    • stellar firma
    • sawbones
    • if books could kill
    • True crime garage
    • midst
  • Noted. Won't watch.

Will play tetris and look down one of those red binoculars that you put picture disks in.

  • It's nice to agree with someone on the Internet for once :)

    Have a great day!

  • Honestly, if a script grows to more than a few tens of lines I'm off to a different scripting language because I've written enough shell script to know that it's hard to get right.

Shellcheck is great, but what's greater is a language that doesn't have as many gotchas from the get go.

  • -e is great until there's a command that you want to allow to fail in some scenario.

I know OP is talking about bash specifically but pipefail isn't portable and I'm not always on a system with bash installed.

  • I think that only updates semver-compatible versions in the lock file.

I was looking for something that updates the cargo.toml to not necessarily compatible versions.

Since cargo-edit broke, I've had to do this by hand.

  • How do you upgrade your deps?

I used to use 'cargo upgrade' from cargo-edit, but it stooped working at some point.

  • Where's the PC? Is it the brick on the desk? 🤣
