  • Fern was amazing this episode. Stark was great, too. I really love how the show has preserved the low-key feel of the magic system from the manga. The spells feel more pragmatic than flashy.

    One shot I really liked was the one where Fern retrieves her staff while Lügner is taking up most of the frame. The staff is out of focus in the background, and I really like how the show doesn’t draw attention to it, trusting the viewer to notice it instead.

  • I like cars, but I do agree we have too many of them. Making them the primary mode of transportation for a large chunk of the population was definitely a mistake. The problem isn’t so much the cars themselves, but car-centric infrastructure.
